How to play

  1. Pick a nickname and an operation. No account, no email address.
  2. A problem appears with four answers: tap the right one before the five seconds run out. On a keyboard, keys 1 to 4 answer.
  3. Ten problems make a round. Finish it and the level goes up, with no ceiling.
  4. You have three hearts. A mistake or an expired timer costs one; three perfect rounds in a row give one back.
  5. The faster you answer, the more you score. Chain correct answers to push your multiplier up.

Every operation, every level

Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, or all four mixed. New to it? Start at level 1 and let the difficulty climb gently. Already quick? Jump straight to level 5 or level 10.

Practise your times tables

The five-second timer pushes you to recall the answer instead of counting it out, which is exactly what turns a times table from something you know into something you just know. Up to five profiles share one device, so each child keeps their own records. In the browser, the game has no ads.

Four world leaderboards

Score rewards speed, best streak rewards consistency, top level rewards endurance, and the fastest ranking rewards a perfect round cleared in the least time. Each one filters by operation and by period: today, this week, all time.

Frequently asked questions

Is FiveTick free?

Yes. The game is free in the browser, on Google Play and on the App Store.

Do I need an account?

No. A nickname is enough to play and appear on the leaderboard. No password or email address is asked for, and the profile can be deleted at any time from inside the game.

What age is it for?

As soon as a child can read numbers and add: level 1 addition suits beginners. Multiplication and division take over for times tables practice, and the higher levels are a real challenge for adults.

Can I play offline?

On Android and iPhone, yes: the game works without a connection. The world leaderboard needs the internet to validate scores.

Can I use it in class or on my website?
